The Skagen watch brand is produced by Skagen Designs Limited. Although named after Skagen in Denmark (a picturesque fishing village) the company is actually based the US. Skagen Designs was founded in 1987 by Henrik and Charlotte Jorst, both Danes from Copenhagen who had moved to the US. As the name suggests the company is best known for its classic designs and as well as watches you can buy other Skagen brand fashion gear such as sunglasses along with home, garden and office products.

Denmark

The signature range of Skagen watches are the Skagen Denmark Collection, with models for both man and woman. These are distinguished by a sleek, simple design and many feature a slimline casing. They are available with straps in leather, rubber, stainless steel and ultra-lightweight titanium, a number of models having a mesh band. Most models are water resistant. Unlike many watches you can buy today, the Skagen Denmark comes with a lifetime limited warranty.

For the lady, the Skagen women's range includes models subtly studded with diamonds, whilst for men there is a special "performance" collection of sports watches. A number of these feature a chronograph movement.

Skagen do not produce their own movements, concentrating instead on the design and styling.
