TAG Heuer Link Watches

The Link collection is probably one of the most well known and popular ranges of Tag Heuer wristwatches available to buy today. It has been seen on the wrists of a variety of high power celebrities and sporting icons including Tiger Woods, Ayrton Senna and Matt Damon.

History

The Tag Heuer Link is designed to combine a sports watch with style and elegance. The range was first sold in 1999 however it traces its roots back to 1987 and the introduction of the Sports Elegance Line (S/el). The Link was an evolution of this range with a catchier if less explanatory name!

Since then the range has, of course, been subject to change with a major overhaul taking place in 2005. According to the company the new syles are more "contemporary" and "sober".

Another major milestone in the history the the Link was in 2007 when Tag Heuer introduced the Calibre S which is based upon a unique, patented electro-mechanical movement. This makes use of the main dial hands to provide a simpler to read chronograph facility. This new movement is made up from some 230 parts and assembled by TAG Heuer in La Chaux-de-Fonds and their Sion workshop facility.

Being a sports watch at heart the Link range includes a number of chronograph models, both mens and womens. Not all Link models include chronograph features, as always check bfore you buy.
