Tag Carrera

The Tag Carrera watch is a popular sports chronograph produced by Tag Heuer. As with much of Tag's range there is a connection with the world of auto racing.

Carrera Panamericana

The Carerra is named after the Carrera Panamericana, an open-road car race that takes place in Mexico. The race began in 1950 and ran until 1954, after which it was cancelled due to safety fears. It was revived in 1988 and has run every year since.

The Tag Carrera was launched in 1963 and the motor racing influence showed in the design. The design has been modernised since then but the Tag Carrera models you can buy today still capture the spirit of motor racing.

The models in the Carrera collection today include a a standard automatic watch and an automatic chronograph tachymetre for men as well as a diamond studded automatic watch for ladies.

Grand Carrera

The Grand Carrera is a top of the line range based around the Tag Calibre RS (Rotating System). The Rotating System is directly inspired by the design of GT race car engines and replaces traditional hand-based secondary dials with rotating discs that invoke the feel of a car dashboard. Depending on the model you buy there will be one or two of these discs which will indicate seconds, an additional tome zone or chronograph readings.

The design also incorporates luxury Cotes de Geneve screws and decorations along with oversized crown.
